How it works
1 / Discover
Once you’re happy with the proposal and we’ve squared away the deposit and contract, I'll dive into understanding your business through a detailed client questionnaire, market research, and competitor analysis. Together, we'll workshop the site structure and I’ll develop wireframes to map out the content and user flow.
2 / Design
Here, I’ll craft the visual style for your site, including colours, fonts, imagery, icons/graphics, and logo development if needed. I’ll develop a homepage mockup with placeholder text, allowing you time to prepare your copy and any photography needed before site development begins.
3 / Develop
With assets approved and copy in hand, I can start to build your website! I work on Squarespace 7.1, ensuring a responsive design for all devices. I’ll optimise copy and imagery during this phase, and ensure the site is set up for SEO, including metadata and all on-page best practises.
4 / Deliver
Before launching, I’ll run comprehensive checks, including browser and device compatibility, and help you to set up your domain and hosting plan. Once live, I’ll submit the site to Google for indexing and provide support and training so you’re 100% confident in managing your new site.

Our discovery call is a free 20-minute chat. It’s a chance for you to tell me what stage you’re at with your business, outline what you need help with, and ask me any questions.
There’s no obligation to go ahead with the proposal, if for any reason, something isn’t a good fit. -
Before starting any branding or web design project, I ask every client to complete a questionnaire. It helps me get a comprehensive understanding of your business, audience, goals for the project, as well as inform the overall look and feel. The more about you I know, the better a story I’ll be able to tell!
Bear in mind, for website projects, you’ll likely need some professional photography (a decent camera phone is all you need) as well as some ‘about’ style copy/text. Don't worry if this isn't finalised yet; we'll work together to ensure everything aligns perfectly with your brand.

If you don't have any type of branding for your business and don’t want a logo per se, we can add a simple ‘Styling Bundle’ to your website scope. This will include an web accessible colour palette and font selection for headings and paragraph text. I will also package up a basic design file lockup of your name in the selected font, along with a styling reference sheet that you can use in your business going forward.

All websites require a cookie notice and a privacy policy by law if you are collecting any personal data from your site users. It is also advisable to include a terms of use page, and, if you have an online shop, conditions and shipping policies.
As these are legal documents specific to your business, I can't provide these for you, but there are a number of online resources you can use with free and paid templates. -
For branding projects I’ll typically ask for 50% at the start of the project with the balance due on completion.
With larger web builds, I’ll split this into three payments, unless otherwise agreed. -
